The tree-lined promenade in front of the buildings in the south serves as a generous recreation and access area in keeping with the height development of the buildings. It is reserved for pedestrians, except for deliveries and rescue operations. The angled low-rise building accompanies the promenade, the high-rise building marks the beginning. Wide-stretched seating steps connect the promenade to the retention and infiltration basin.

Promenade

The pavement of the promenade is made of cast-in-place concrete with colour aggregate as well as structuring bands as a generous, homogeneously designed access area that is adequate for the building cubatures. The ramps cut into the stepped area and assigned to the development cores allow controlled access to the shopping zone and at the same time serve to provide disabled access to the entire complex.
The planned tree species is a large tree plantation of Liriodendron tulipifera (tulip tree). Characteristic of this tree species is the slender growth, the flowering aspect, the extraordinary foliage, as well as the significance of the site through the use of this alien tree.

Retention pond

In the area between the biotope and the promenade, a microclimatically valuable water surface is planned, which will absorb the rainwater accumulating on the roof surfaces and the promenade.
The proposed concept includes two technically separate sub-areas - an architecturally designed water basin with a constant water level above the underground car park, with a spillway edge to the lower lying sub-area - the naturally formed retention pond with a shallow rising bank towards the embankment path to the south.
By absorbing the rainwater peaks, the infiltration systems can be redimensioned.
