The new library and savings bank building offers the opportunity to redefine the centre of Manching and to make its central function visible and tangible. The design supports this in many ways.

Thus, a generous bridge solution over the Paar creates additional public space. The separating effect of the river and the bridge is eliminated - the town hall and the church are visually more integrated into the redesigned centre. Pedestrians and cyclists are given more space, the bridge is no longer a bottleneck. A uniform design of the pavement on both sides and on the bridge reinforces the connecting effect. The natural urban widening is thus emphasized and used. Generous hospitality areas on both sides of the road and on both sides of the bridge create a new flair.

On the one hand, the design serves to enhance the public space in Manching, especially in the redesigned center, but on the other hand, it takes into account the necessary functions and integrates them in terms of design. Thus the uniform occupation of the side surfaces with grey-yellow granite paving creates a warm generosity and integrates on the other hand the different - above all traffic - functions.
A fountain element on the central place before the new community hall creates additional stay quality. The Mariensäule (Mary's Column) will be exposed and integrated into the square area.
