For the urban development of the core quarter around Müntepark, the city of Diepholz has made considerable land acquisitions in recent years.
This should ensure an opening of the city park to the neighborhood as well as improved accessibility in the future.

The central component of Müntepark will be a multi-generational playground with the sub-areas water playground, low ropes course, sand play area and toboggan hill.
In the summer of 2015, the water playground was completed first....

The water playground in Müntepark consists of two central elements:
the watercourse itself and the adjacent sand play areas. These elements were developed from the existing toboggan hill and the resulting topography in the form of a lens. An additional bench space along the path and an integrated wooden element provide seating for parents.

From the hill, the water flows down a varied, curved bed of natural pavers of varying sizes. Integrated stainless steel play equipment such as pumps, water wheels and barrages provide a variety of play opportunities.
In the sandy areas there is further play equipment, some of which could be taken over from the existing stock.

Sandstone rocks, which absorb differences in height over the entire area, as well as
robust planting round off the near-natural character of the playground.

In the further course of construction, a low ropes course is to be created in the area between the existing woodland and the playground.
