Based on a preliminary study of the Andräviertel, a section the length of a city block in Faberstraße/Salzburg has been converted into a traffic-calmed residential street.

The restrained design allows a variety of uses and integrates, for example, the use of the section of Faberstraße as a weekly market. Loosened up into a sequence of squares and provided with a zoned thoroughfare, Faberstraße becomes a traffic-calmed area. The street is divided into different, barrier-free areas, which become recognizable through the use of different pavements; long pavers/slab carpets mark the quieter zones. The classic street profile is thus broken up and a square character is created despite the high proportion of asphalt. The existing tree scenery was extended, as well as the tree islands as self-confidently executed elevated pedestals for sitting and using converted .
