Motel One Berlin Hbf - Lehrter Strasse

The new hotel building of the design hotel chain Motel One is located in a prominent position on Lehrterstraße, diagonally opposite the main railway station in Berlin-Mitte. The spacious gardens of Motel One's largest hotel to date are oriented towards the neighbouring Moabit History Park.
The character of the outdoor area is based on the linear façade design. The L-shaped ground plan of the building creates varied garden squares designed according to the needs of the guests.

A fountain with integrated lighting forms the central point in the middle of the complex. The various garden squares are arranged around this. Several of them with terrace decks. They offer enough space for tables, chairs, umbrellas and seating groups.
Towards the neighbouring history park, the garden space is visually framed by copper rock pears and box hedges. As dusk falls, the trees are illuminated by various lights. The lights create an idyllic atmosphere, which is further enhanced by granite gravel surfaces with globe lights and boxwood spheres.

In order to shield the delivery and underground car park exit from the garden space, the frame of trees is continued in the form of a pergola construction made of wood and steel.
Exits on the upper floors are visually oriented towards the design of the garden space. Small wooden decks and planted pots as privacy screens visually merge the overall outdoor areas on the ground and upper floors into a harmonious unit.
