The ega park sculpture garden was redesigned on an area of approx. 4,500 m² under the motto "zeitfigurenfigurenzeiten". After the sensitive redesign of one of the oldest areas of the park, which took into account aspects of monument preservation, visitors can now expect a permanent exhibition with around 24 sculptures from the ega collection as well as an area with changing exhibitions and an adjacent studio building.
High, trimmed hedges in the permanent exhibition area frame museum-like spaces in which small squares and large, quiet planting areas are arranged. The plantings contribute to a pleasant atmosphere for viewing the sculptures.
Other plant focal points are peonies, which run through the sculpture garden as a ribbon, as well as asters, anemones and grasses with an autumnal aspect. While drought-tolerant perennials form the focus of the western garden area, a raised bed of rock garden perennials borders the garden east to the water axis.
