The park on Salzsenderweg in the Johanneskirchen district of Munich, north of the Prinz Eugen barracks, has a total size of approx. 13 ha.

The park is an important recreational area for the residents of the surrounding housing estates. The center of the park is an old grass meadow of approx. 2 ha, crossed by a few paths and trails.

A smooth oat meadow is being created here through maintenance measures. To the west of the meadow is a former clay pit with woodland succession, which has the status of a biotope development area. The original value for species conservation was restored through targeted removal of the wooded areas.

The existing play area was upgraded and the range of games for children up to the age of 14 was expanded. A fitness trail and a youth shelter on the west side of the SBZ round off the leisure facilities.

Targeted planting of trees and shrubs with native and Central Asian species is intended to provide insights into suitable plant selection in the context of climate change.
