The square was a lawn with a few old trees and paved areas, unattractive, inappropriate and irrelevant. Only the building itself with its expressionist façade from the 1960s in dialog with the works of regional artists gave the square its special character. The new, uniform paving made of simple artificial stone plays with the lively façade. A new carpet is rolled out that is different and yet similar in appearance: mimicry. The long seating elements accentuate the simple shape of the square and guide visitors from the parking lot to the main entrance.
