Subarea Botanical Garden Bielefeld

Since the foundation of the non-profit association in 1998, the L-A-E office has supported the work of the association in the extended board. The association was able to save the Botanical Garden from insignificance: Parts of the area were to be taken out of intensive care. This would have devalued one of the most beautiful parks in Bielefeld.

In the 12 years of its existence, much has been achieved for the garden with sponsorship and in close cooperation with the Umweltbetrieb of the city of Bielefeld. In 2010, the garden courtyard at the half-timbered house was completed. With the help of the office L-A-E, the association planned the conversion of the previously privately used garden of the farmhouse into a large garden courtyard. In 2008, the stairway to the half-timbered house was redesigned and rebuilt. In 2007 the project "fern staircase" could be finished in cooperation with the office
L-A-E. Help us to currently expand the Botanical Garden by 3,000 m. Due to the demolition of the former Georgenkirche and the kindergarten, there is a unique opportunity to expand the site area.
