Redesign of the church forecourt of the Jesus-Christus-Kirche in Germering.
The entrance areas of the church, rectory and youth recreation center will be connected to form a clearly structured, spacious forecourt that invites parishioners and passers-by to linger.
Movement areas made of light-colored concrete paving separate themselves from the inner quiet zone made of dark basalt paving, which is framed by concrete seating walls. Fragrant perennial areas of lavender, sage, roses and grasses create a special quality of stay. Existing trees are preserved and supplemented.
