The new school building is preceded by a linear, wide access carpet that guides pupils and teachers into the school grounds and is also used as a paved break yard. This area is supported in its function and structure by linear arranged tree chains and benches. Seating areas develop out of the generously designed stepped area. In the protected front area of the new school building the forum is created - a small and well visible break area. The forum, the staircase, the carpet and the access to the remaining existing buildings are paved with paving slabs, whereas all other areas are used for sports and games and are unpaved with grass. The linear structure of trees and benches extends over the play and sports areas, thus structuring the entire outdoor area of the school on the Goldbach.
