In order to give music students more opportunities to practice their instruments, two extensions were built on the Bundeallee site. The new rehearsal rooms were placed as monolithic, single-storey buildings in timber construction in the two inner courtyards of the listed building ensemble. A shimmering bronze-colored, corrugated and perforated façade runs evenly across all sides of the building and gives the new buildings a very calm, uniform design. The outdoor facilities are designed to blend in with the calm overall appearance of the ensemble.

The new building entrances are linked to the rear exits of the old building, in one case also barrier-free by means of a flat ramp paved in natural stone. The other entrances are accessed via square-like paved areas made of granite small stone paving with lawn joints, which run out into the lawns at the sides. This avoids uneven paths and there is no danger of trampling. All green areas were laid out as lawns, and the fire department access road, which is to be retained, will also be part of the lawn area with its grass honeycomb paving.

The facades of the new buildings are effectively illuminated by means of wallwashers integrated into the ground, which also ensure that the entrances to the buildings are illuminated.
