In a heterogeneously built environment in the southern part of Gropiusstadt, three residential buildings were constructed on a former parking lot. Their outdoor space was intended to create a sense of togetherness among the new residents and in exchange with the surrounding neighborhood.

A promenade-like path was created between the new buildings and the existing housing estate to the east. The building entrances, some of the bicycle and short-term parking spaces are arranged along this path, as well as a central waste disposal area for old and new buildings.

Along the path is an activity strip with play and sports facilities for younger children. A bouncy game, a trampoline, table tennis tables, a balancing device and a climbing tower offer opportunities for play and exercise. Planned and informal seating areas offer opportunities for interaction.

The roofing of the underground parking garage was designed as intensive greening and as a "Bolzwiese". At the edges, "sensory plantings" offer opportunities for touching and smelling. Seating areas were also created here to encourage neighborly interaction. Small shady trees are planted in the area of the Bolzwiese and the action strip. Variegated deciduous shrubs such as Prunus cerasifera, Malus 'Evereste' and Acer ginnala are used here.

Another playground area for older children is located to the west of House 3, where a climbing sculpture and 2 sky swings have been planned. The climbing combination offers a range of exercise options from balancing, climbing or hanging.

The first floor apartments in houses 2 and 3 are surrounded by tenant gardens with hedges (Carpinus betulus).

Swale infiltration areas and trenches were created for the drainage of roofs and surfaces. The aim was to achieve complete infiltration on the property despite poor soil conditions. The swales are planted with perennials and shrubs that are tolerant of waterlogging (around the edges), such as Elaeagnus angustifolia, thus promoting biodiversity. The result is an eventful landscape that ties in with the nearby Mark Brandenburg landscape.
