The planning, coordination and promotion of the regional park as a whole has been in the hands of Regionalpark Ballungsraum Rhein- Main GmbH since 2005. It ensures comprehensive regional park planning in the landscape plan and in the regional

land use plan of the FrankfurtRhineMain Regional Association. As a sub-project, the RhineMain Regional Park cycle route will connect participating municipalities on a continuous

route around the city of Frankfurt. As a clearly recognizable feature, the cycle route will have an independent appearance in terms of markings and equipment. The measure will be implemented in sections over several years.

The circular route links 35 municipalities via the landscape. It runs along agricultural areas and forests, through FFH areas and intact cultural landscapes, but also through towns and industrial estates or runs parallel to other routes. Thanks to a pattern that is applied directly to the route wherever possible, the circular route can be easily distinguished from all other routes and

paths. The design of the circular route is based on the marking of every full kilometer on the 190 km circular route of the RhineMain Regional Park. Each marking element bears the logo of the Regionalpark

circular route in red. As an orientation aid for the user, the marking elements are always placed at the edge of the path, both inside and outside the town. Changes in direction are marked with markings that follow the route.
