By planting tall fruit trees such as cherries, plums, apples, pears and quinces, the historical use of the orchard is recreated. Visitors can harvest the fruit. The existing fruit-bearing shrubs and trees such as wild apple, wild cherry and wild rose will be preserved. Brushwood, branches and trunk material from the cleared trees will be piled up to form brushwood and branch strips. The wood strips are used to group the wild fruit islands into areas with clear boundaries. Signage with a visitor guidance system was also developed in connection with the creation of the orchard meadow. An audio guide, videos, photos and other exciting and interesting information about the orchard can be found on the Altglienicke orchard website.
