The area, which in Neuzelle is called "Scheibe", is a natural hill, the shape of which was changed in the Baroque period for the construction of the Kreuzkirche and for the creation of a vineyard. It was slightly terraced and narrow, horizontal paths and shallow slopes were laid out on a regular circular ground plan. In addition, a system of alleys running radially to the center point was provided and the hill was planted with vines and fruit trees. As part of a broad-based baseline survey required by the BLDAM, the history of the "Scheibe" and its uses was determined and, in particular, the basic forms of the topography were drawn in both Baroque and 20th century form. A concept for use and topographical restoration was drawn up for the entire "Scheibe". Among other things, this involved the elevation and inclination of the slopes and terraces as well as the exact location of the alleys. This concept formed the basis for the design of the open spaces for the coach house and the chancellery. At the Kutschstall, the areas underbuilt by the "Holy Sepulchre" museum will be restored in accordance with the basic assessment and thus integrated into the historical open space system.
