According to the development plan, in addition to sport and play, the project serves the aim of St. John's Church to promote the conversion of the military property, to clear up the existing contaminated sites in the area surrounding the City of Peace and to remove dilapidated buildings and paving. Three special areas for sport and play will be created and the necessary parking spaces will be provided.

The planning concept of the green scheme provides for special consideration to be given in the design to ensuring that the facilities blend into the landscape of the "Nuthetal-Beelitzer-Sander" landscape conservation area and the nature park. Existing ruins and dilapidated paving are to be removed.

An access path will be planted with rows of trees on both sides to blend in with the landscape of the conservation area and to compensate for encroachments. In this way, the typical structuring of the landscape by avenues is taken up. Furthermore, areas for the development of dry sandy grasslands and habitats for insects are planned.

Special species protection is taken into account in the measures. Existing groups of trees will be preserved, fruit trees planted and nesting boxes installed to compensate for the loss of breeding opportunities for protected birds and bats. Outside the planning area, a replacement area will be created for a breeding area for the little ringed plover.
