The North Park is a former freight yard area north of the Plattlinger station, which in recent years has been piecemeal converted to a new use with large green space and park. In the third section planned by us, there are prominent remnants of the former use, including two impressive railroad buildings made of clinker bricks.

The existing main path from the North Park 2 will be continued along the railroad area and meanders between meadows and the railroad to the temporary end point, an elevated vantage point. Parallel to the railroad areas, a long lizard wall will be created to provide a permanent home for the protected reptiles on the site. Ecology and species protection thus became the guiding theme along the railroad areas.

Towards the north, towards the new music school of the district, the research center for modern mobility of the TH Deggendorf as well as the Bürgerhal- le of the city of Plattling between the listed clinker brick buildings, the design becomes more formal and architectural. Here, the campus-like Charkter of the new urban use is taken into account.

The vegetation is developed according to the railroad site open with loose, site-appropriate tree stands. It contains both foreign and native tree species. Thus, the theme "railroad: connection of known and unknown" is taken up.

Parking spaces are organized along this development axis, so that the actual park remains free of motorized traffic.
