Feasibility study for the science and creative location Campus Weißensee with subsequent urban planning design and object planning test design for the outdoor facilities.

After winning the workshop process for the Weissensee campus together with MLA, we continued to work on the project with the Senate Department for Urban Development and Housing and the Berlin School of Art and are delighted with the result, which is now the basis for the development plan.

Campus Weissensee is an extension of the existing Weissensee School of Art. The urban development concept grows out of the existing building, uses existing qualities, combines them and continues them. The continuation of the green space towards Bühringstrasse and the connection of the mixed-use area to the south of the campus creates an ideal network and connection that underlines the open character of the campus.

The resulting four clusters are arranged around a shared central square, which also forms the hinge between old and new. All new functions with a public character on the campus have a frontage to this square, enlivening it and supporting its role as a meeting place.
