Klaus Bierbaum has been working as a freelance landscape architect since 1980. Sixteen years later, in 1996, the office was run in partnership by the freelance landscape architects Klaus Bierbaum and Klaus-Dieter Aichele. Since the beginning of 2005, the office has been operating under the same management as BIERBAUM.AICHELE.landschaftsarchitekten, still as a partnership under civil law.
The fields of activity are all areas of landscape planning and landscape architecture: from regional planning procedures, environmental impact studies and landscape planning reports to the implementation of open space planning with the realisation of the plans down to the last detail. In doing so, we are committed to a resource-saving, sustainable and interdisciplinary planning approach. Through the intended permanent planning support up to the constructional implementation, we guarantee economically as well as ecologically sustainable and sensible results, which are characterized by a high design quality in the realization. This is also reflected in numerous successful participations in urban and landscape architectural planning competitions.
36 years after the founding of the office, Klaus Bierbaum is retiring from the operational business at the beginning of 2016. The one-man office has developed into a landscape architecture firm with 27 employees at two locations. Günter Schüller, who has been working in the office for almost ten years, joins the management as Klaus-Dieter Aichele's office partner.
