The partnership of Jens Rossa and Sonja Rossa-Banthien was founded in 2000. The landscape architecture office is based in Dresden.
Since the founding of the office, Jens Rossa and Sonja Rossa-Banthien have received over 110 awards in competitions as well as awards for high-quality structural realizations. Both are jury members in competitions and planning appraisals and are invited to guest critiques and guest lectures at colleges and universities.
In close cooperation with the respective clients, it has been possible in recent years to develop and implement high-quality open spaces in and beyond the borders of Saxony.
The spectrum of tasks of r b ranges from urban planning concepts, garden shows and inner-city modernization measures to the design of residential open spaces, squares and much more.
We deal with open space, preferably in the interplay between urban density and landscape expanse. In open dialogue, in interdisciplinary teams, in competitions or as judges, we search for the essential and unmistakable features of a site as the basis for our own design work.
From the site, from its history and its potential, we formulate our own landscape architectural language, individually adapted to the respective task, and develop appropriate, simple and flexible solutions.
From the initial idea, through the urban planning concept and the landscape architectural object planning, our office endeavours to realise the attitude adopted in each case down to the last detail. Thus the support over all phases of the HOAI, founded workmanship, efficiency and cost consciousness for emergence and maintenance is natural for r b landscape s architecture.
