Garden at a Baden-Baden villa from the Belle Époque period

On the property of an old Wilhelminian style villa, the garden was also created in connection with the restoration of the villa and a neighboring new building. The original, insignificant plant had developed a certain charm due to many years of dormancy because of the old tree population.
This now represents the spatial connection between the intensively designed garden at the villa and the more extensively designed garden at the new building.
The formal severity of the building also characterizes the garden at the villa. It was divided into individual green spaces, which are located on different garden levels and also represent different levels of meaning:
The entrance courtyard with its bustle on the top level. Here, flowing water (fountain) and crunching gravel in the entrance area embody the moment of movement.
The lower part of the garden appears dreamy and quiet: standing water, lawn, old trees.
On the intermediate level, a perennial garden reflects the change of seasons.
The garden at the new building was only upgraded with individual "surgical interventions": A promenade on the front side of the building with herbaceous borders and hedge connects a seating area (garden bench) with a pavilion that marks the corner of the property.
