The portal www.landschaftsarchitektur-heute.de focuses on the direct presentation of the profession's services and is aimed primarily at target groups with an interest in the subject. Landscape architecture is seen in the sense of the professional conception as a bracket for all service fields of the landscape architects, which reach for example from the object planning to landscape planning. In accordance with the association's sphere of activity, the information offered is oriented nationwide, but includes projects all over the world due to the activities of its members.

The user is welcomed on an emotionally appealing, stage-like staged start page. The extensive range of information is professionally sound and, in the interests of a high level of user-friendliness, clearly concentrated on three main content areas.
The "Topics" section directs interest to the online salon for exhibitions and a topical examination of the built environment. So far, five thematic clusters, e.g. on urban squares or home gardens, have been translated into spatially concrete online exhibitions that can be experienced in real and virtual terms. In addition the respective topic is presented editorially and staged with thematically suitable projects from the data base.
In the menu point "projects" bdla members present their current projects and it results with the time of the activation approximately 700 entries a work show for contemporary landscape architecture, which reflects the broad power spectrum of the planners from the object to the landscape planning. Knowing that the medium alone does not create attention, the contents are prepared with intuitive and playful usability and visual presentation, which should arouse people's interest. These are characterized by particular narrative modes tailored to the experience of landscape architecture: the gallery, the story, the time slideshow, and the virtual tour of the project. The integration of multimedia formats, such as videos, supports the emotional appeal to the user and enables them to get a picture of the landscape architects' intentions and working methods.
The focal point "Offices" was created from the approach of searching for planning offices on the association website. The focus "Offices" forms an important platform for clients and developers. It facilitates the search for a suitable office on the basis of references or via a search by activity focus and location. For the presentation of the offices, among other things, short portraits, project examples and contact data are available. Each office can present its projects and, by means of text descriptions supplemented by construction data and service information as well as various media formats, open up in-depth insights into the planning idea and associated concepts and designs. In the sense of networked content, the projects are assigned to offices. In addition, they can be assigned to superordinate thematic references and current topics can be created from them. No matter from which focal point of interest the user approaches the portal, he will always be referred to the other focal points of content.
