The front garden of a property in Mainz-Laubenheim is characterized by an open lawn with planting beds on the two long sides.
The two framing bed strips are articulated with evergreen yew hedges and planted with a band of lampbush grass or ornamental and ground cover perennials.

The lawn has been cut into the steeply sloping site. The resulting difference in elevation from the adjacent site is intercepted by a wall of used clinker.
On the top of the wall, white ball hydrangeas 'Annabelle' and a band of funkias form the visual end of the lawn parterre on the front side opposite the dwelling house.

As an eye-catcher, a white bench was placed in front of the wall.
