The Bürgerpark is located on the tunnel of the B27, which crosses the village. With the traffic project "Two-lane expansion of the B27 Tübingen-Nehren", an approx. 500 m long tunnel section was created in the area of the town center, and the resulting open space of 1.0 ha was developed into a citizens' park. The park is based on the central idea of "A ramble towards the Alb" and is divided into sections. The idea of incorporating landscape elements from the foothills of the Schwäbisch. Alb and reinterpret them in the park was convincing.
