On the site of the former Thalkirchen Isartal railway station, a public green space with spacious lawns and an adventure playground was created in the immediate vicinity of the Mühlbach stream.

The central park is primarily used for local recreation. Compensation and biotope development areas in the peripheral areas form a natural framework. The superordinate Isartalbahn cycle path running through the site was extended as part of the construction work.

The adventure playground emerges out of the park and at the same time into it. An organic topography gently and naturally separates the intensively used play area from the meadow areas of the park without creating visual barriers.

The focus of the adventure playground is the idea of free play with requirements for the motor, sensory and social development of children in public spaces - the merging of play and landscape.
