The house garden is being built on the edge of a new development area in the transition to a public path and a golf course and attempts the balancing act between representation and family protection. Neighbouring buildings on both sides of the garden force us to set boundaries, not only because the swimming pool is used intensively by children, parents and friends as a central place of family activity. In order not to have to erect repellent walls or opaque high fences, the builder decides on a frosted glass partition wall, which conjures up a constantly changing, attractive screen on the property boundary by casting shadows.
As the professional situation of the house owners leaves little time and leisure for gardening, planting areas are densely underplanted with ground-covering perennials from the outset and woody plants with little requirement for constant accompaniment are selected.
Through the purchase of an adjacent plot of land, the spatial expansion of the garden is within reach (2014 / 2015), which will offer in particular the growing children a closer to adventure and nature experience oriented additional play space.
