The bank area of the Schlichem in the centre of the municipality of Dautmergen was partially redesigned. The bank was made accessible and the water was made experiencable.

A newly created footpath along the Schlichem, seating steps to the water and benches to linger enrich the idyllic village center.

The central festival site in front of the so-called "Spritzenhäusle" was enlarged; it was created a versatile usable open space. Central eye-catcher of the festival place is the old Spritzenhäusle shining in new splendour. There the historical fire engine of the municipality can be visited. The building is upgraded by the installation of a window band and appropriate lighting and the fire engine is put in scene. The square area moves closer to the Schlichem at the height of the existing Stellfalle; pedestrians can get closer to the weir itself as well as the picturesque bank area. Various seats invite to rest. Several information boards provide information about the historical Dautmergen, the old course of the Schlichem as well as today's Schlichem hiking trail.

The project was subsidised through the LEADER program of the European Union.
