The green space at the Thomaskirchhof, which was redesigned in 1998 and is very popular with Leipzigers and visitors alike, fell into a state of disrepair due to various construction measures and the high pressure of use. Following the design principle of creating a green inner-city recreation area with a visual axis to St. Thomas Church, the small square in the city centre is being refreshed. Within the scope of the redevelopment measures, the damaged surface pavements were renewed and the planting areas were redesigned. The already existing large trees benefited from a location improvement, the visitors enjoy a higher quality of stay due to the new seating around the tree discs.
