Based on the garden city idea, but modified and modernized, more than just a traditional settlement was created in the settlement Arkadien Winnenden - but a living space.

The quarter presents itself as a unit through readable public and private areas; the usual property and separation lines are dissolved. Transitions between public and semi-public areas are fluid and repeatedly interspersed with diverse pocket parks that celebrate neighbourliness and communication. The green spaces of the settlement are directly linked to the overriding floodplain of the Zipfelbach - local recreation on the doorstep.
The centre and centre of the settlement is the lake cascade of the upper and lower lake, fed by the fresh water of the existing groundwater catchment.

The rainwater is a constantly present and visible companion. It is collected on the surface and purified in biotopes and fed to the sensitive Zipfelbach floodplains as an urgently needed replenishment.
