The structural expansion of the Cantina di Terlan, one of South Tyrol's oldest wineries and rich in tradition, has created a roof garden with a spectacular view.
The vineyard is entirely dedicated to the experience of the landscape and is thus closely linked to the wines produced on site. Its glass balustrades allow it to merge with its surroundings.
Plants, together with wood-covered terraced areas, form winningly structured fields in a porphyry split. These are elevated by a shallow step, signaling the transition from moving to lingering. The planting is composed of a flat carpet of herbs and perennial grasses inserted in strips, suggesting spatial niches. In seasonal changes, bulbous plants provide temporary colour accents. The typical local porphyry stone combines with the warm colour of the Corten steel edgings and the lush green of the plantings to create a harmonious overall picture.
