Three crèche and four kindergarten groups have already moved into the children's house in the Schwäbisch Hall district of Hessental. It has become a warm, inviting wooden building which, as a simple, single-storey structure, blends into the loose settlement structure of the surroundings of Hessental.

The L-shaped building allows independent areas for both the crèche and the kindergarten which, screened from the street, open out into the meadow landscape with the existing tree population.
The roofed terrace areas in front of the group rooms are connected to each other by a path that curves through the moving play landscape.
Ball play area, bird's nest swing and the water play area for sanding and splashing lie along the path in the light shade of the existing and newly planted trees.

A wooden climbing element that is carefully integrated into the tree population and the shape of the terrain is the central point of attraction and is shielded from the play area of the youngest children by the shrub and hedge structures. Their play landscape is found as a continuation of the play areas close to nature with meadow hills, balancing woods and ice-age rocks.

The warm, natural wooden construction of the building is continued in the materiality of the playground equipment and furnishing elements. Due to the strong relationship between the building and the outdoor space and the protected open spaces opening up to the landscape, the children play in a green meadow oasis in the light shade of the fruit trees.
