With the construction of the forecourt of the Pablo Neruda Library in 2018-2020, the transformation of the cultural and educational campus Frankfurter Allee was completed as the last construction phase.

The Pablo Neruda Library is located in the second row of Frankfurter Allee. Like a window, the front of the Stalin buildings opens up to reveal the District Central Library and its impressive cedar wood façade. In the course of the conversion of the former school into a library, the entrance was moved into the alignment of the street, increasing the presence of the building in the urban space and necessitating a new arrangement of the serving functions in order to create a harmonious relationship between the square and the building. The existing car parking spaces are eliminated except for two disabled parking spaces in favor of generous vegetation islands.

The square was made car-free and is limited to the street by bollards. Access for delivery vehicles and the fire brigade is via gaps in the bollards. The design of the square and the equipment elements refers to the colour scheme of the surrounding architecture. The pavement consists of a beige stone paving, which picks up the colour of the base of the Stalin buildings. Three long seating elements provide contrasting accents. The lighting of the place takes place over light stelae.

Three planting areas divide the square and take over part of the square drainage. The existing row of maples has been supplemented and complemented by two rows of Ginkgo biloba that create space.
