Village meadow hall, Schöllbronn

In the Schöllbronn district of Ettlingen, the school sports hall was replaced by a much larger school and club sports hall.



Our planning included the surroundings of the multi-purpose hall, the entrances, the access road for the fire department and the free play area of the day nursery, which was to be given more open space by converting the retaining walls to the neighboring properties. Another component was to create a barrier-free connection between the surrounding school and daycare buildings and the park areas. The staircases were therefore planned with accompanying ramps.



Particular attention was paid to the design of the forecourt of the hall, which is used as an open space for events and serves as an extension of the schoolyard. The spacious staircase is equipped with seating steps, the planned lawn and planting areas as well as appropriate lighting increase the quality of stay.



Four play stations were planned for the outdoor areas of the day nursery, including a sand play area and a balancing course. Hedges surround the play areas.
