The secondary school was built on the open space on the northern outskirts of Leipzig as the first part of a school complex. All schoolyard, sports and development areas were designed in such a way that rainwater is retained in
retention areas on the site despite unfavorable soil values. The schoolyard itself contains a series of island-like
arranged play and vegetation areas, spanned by
a grove of trees.
