The original intention to place St. Alexander's Church as dominantly as possible and exposed on the hillside, seeking a direct relationship with St. Anna's Chapel on the historic Kirchweg, is now difficult to read in the grown-up center of Wallenhorst. The unmistakable figure of the center of Wallenhorst is St. Alexander's Church, resting majestically on a mountain throne. This image needs to be emphasized more clearly. The topographical play is staged in concise terracing and made accessible with generous accompanying ramps.

Small-scale greenery is reduced in favor of exposing the striking old trees. Instead, solitary trees make a pilgrimage along the historic church path towards the church.

The relationship between the Anna Chapel and Alexander Church, which has been intended since the beginning, is established with a stepped structure. The carefully stepped church square with the green terraces of the Kirchberg can thus be experienced as a central place of local life. Instead of a competing "Guten Stube", further small-scale street squares with outdoor catering facilities will be established, thus creating a landscape for lingering and experiencing that spans the center.
