Garden above the lake, Starnberg

Appreciation in the special prize home gardenGerman Landscape Architecture Award 2009

Jury verdict: The design close to the building on the 6000 square metre villa plot with its various garden courtyards and terraces as well as the near-natural design developing towards the lake convinced the jury.

The overcoming of the 15 metre difference in height was achieved by a path flowing in a soft curve with harmonious accompanying planting. The property running out to the lake impresses with a natural bank reinforcement.
