The new culture and community center in Denzlingen is embedded in a 30,000 square meter open space that extends the existing city garden to the south and gives it a new center. Wooden decks with an area of approx. 1,600 square meters surround the building, while a lake area of approx. 3,000 square meters with differently designed shore zones forms an attractive environment in the transition to the green space. The choice of materials for the plaza and path areas creates flowing spaces from inside to outside, between the foyer and the outdoor area. Accentuated lighting emphasizes key elements of both the building and the outdoor areas.
