A committed church community, a student competition and a citizen-oriented municipality - and from a dark, overgrown area with a backyard character that was used as a storage area, the former church garden in Diedenbergen became the 'new center' - a small square that can be used in many ways.
Informal seating and lounge areas, a clear spatial division of the area structure the formerly heterogeneous terrain and create space.
In coordination with the façades of the baroque church, high-quality sandstone materials were used in a restrained design language - a deliberately simple design without 'design competition' with the existing building.
