The forest playground was created for the Bad Nauheim State Garden Show on a clearing in the Goldsteinwäldchen with only a few interventions in the existing vegetation. With KIKS UP, a health promotion program for children, and the company Zimmer.Obst, a movement-promoting play offer for experimenting and discovering was developed that promotes the psychosocial competence of the children. In addition to changing challenges that respond to the children's diverse movement patterns, retreat options such as the forest school are also offered.
With a specially developed saga about the Salt King, the forest playground picks up on the history of Bad Nauheim and connects individual play stations of the playground, which is generously laid out on an area of approx. In order to reach the Salt King's crystal tower, the children have to master the blackthorn labyrinth, the undulating path on the floating footbridge and the Salt Stick Garden, an innovative low ropes course. The guardians of the forest, hand-carved wooden figures, line the path and help the children solve a riddle along the way.
