During the renovation of Yorckstrasse and Paul-Gerhardt-Strasse in the historic district of Mittenwalde, the course of the road was optimized and the road gradient regulated in order to drain the rainwater on the surface. Another part of the planning was the renewal of the sidewalks and the creation of parking spaces. The historic well, which was discovered during the excavation work, was uncovered and bricked up. A display board provides information about the history of the fountain. When creating the paved areas, the focus was on the use of local materials such as wild paving and clinker bricks.
