Due to the construction of the new faculty and third-party funding building, the outdoor facilities in this area must also be redesigned and adapted to the situation. In order not to damage the forest-like trees, the new pathways must be laid out very carefully. By creating green islands with trees on the paved areas, the loss of the existing trees on the construction site is compensated for and the paved areas are loosened up. In the heavily frequented areas, the green islands are not planted, but replaced by glass gravel surfaces, which invite people to linger by providing seating elements without restricting the ventilation and irrigation of the planned trees.
