The history of the Jordanbad aquatic spa near Biberach dates back to the 15th century. Today, the health park of the St. Elisabeth Foundation includes a spa, a wellness, therapy and fitness centre, the Sinn-Welt, a nursing home and the "Parkhotel Jordanbad". The 4-star hotel has now been given a modern extension and a dining room with an outdoor terrace facing the park. In addition, the former sisters' house was converted and the listed church of St. Johannes was completely renovated.

The church was placed on a carpet of Rinchnach granite. The new inner courtyard between the hotel extension and the church is dominated by a damp tufa slope, which will gradually moss over time. At the upper end is the 26-metre-long water basin fed by the Jordan Spring. Adjacent to this is a long shell limestone terrace on which, in the light shade of fern-leaved copper beeches, there are mobile seating areas.
