Sports facility B.I.S., Haimhausen New construction of a type B battlefield with compensation areas

A type B track with a small playing field and athletics facilities was built for the Bavarian International School in Haimhausen.

The entire area is located in the floodplain of the Amper and therefore poses a major planning challenge in terms of ecology and flood protection. The newly created compensation areas visually integrate the sports facility into the natural environment and also serve as retention areas and a habitat for various amphibians.

An access road and numerous parking spaces were also built as part of the construction project. The superordinate path connections of the adjacent local recreation area were also taken into account in the design.
