Playground Hirschhof

A new playground, primarily for children up to 12 years of age, was built right next to the historic Hirschhof, in the inner block area on Oderberger Straße in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg.

The rising entrance area, flanked by birch trees, should already be recognizable as a play and recreation area. The spacious, predominantly sunny inner block area offers a variety of play facilities for children as well as an attractive neighbourhood meeting place. Individual, thematically designed playground equipment runs through the entire area.
During an upstream workshop with residents, the potential of the site was worked out and ideas collected, which were weighted by the participants themselves and incorporated into the design as an extended task. A community center and a place for smaller parties are two of the wishes that found their implementation.
