The Spektepark, which was created in the 1970s, is a place of social
encounter, the overcoming of social and cultural barriers and
of neighborly communication - a people's park also of the
21st century.
Against the background of changed leisure behavior and increased
usage demands, the Spektepark is to be vitalized and an exercise park
for all sports enthusiasts is to be created. The various
sports facilities will be spatially separated from each other by the creation of niches, but at the same time linked to each other by visual relationships.
In order to create the widest possible range of activities and communication,
the equipment that trains the musculoskeletal system in an age-
appropriate and ergonomically
correct manner will be supplemented by a running track, a gymnastics lawn, seating and
a sand play area.
