The green space at St. Thomas Churchyard, which was redesigned in 1998 and is very popular with Leipzig residents and visitors alike, had fallen into a state of disrepair due to various construction measures and the high pressure of use. In line with the design principle of creating a green inner-city recreation area with a view of St. Thomas Church, the small square in the city center has been given a facelift. As part of the renovation measures, the damaged surface paving was renewed and the planting areas were redesigned. The existing large trees were given a better location and visitors can enjoy a higher quality of stay thanks to the new seating around the tree grates.
