Within the scope of the reconstruction and extension measures of the hospital, the outdoor facilities as well as the entrances will be restructured. The new representative main entrance is accentuated by a magistrale with a single-row avenue of trees as well as a band of pole lights and hedges. The difference in height between the main entrance and the cafeteria is overcome by a staircase that is integrated into the retaining wall made of gabions. Barrier-free access to the lower level is provided by the footpath, which runs parallel to the building through the lawn embankment. The outdoor area of the cafeteria is planned as a large terrace, to which an accessible water feature is attached.Between the terrace of the cafeteria and the entrance to the day clinic, an enclosed therapy garden is planned for patients of the geriatric department.The atriums inside the buildings are designed as partially planted contemplative courtyards. For the geriatric department, the courtyard in this area will be accessible to patients.
