School Center Realschule and Gymnasium Miesbach New construction of sports and outdoor facilities

The project includes the construction of a triple sports hall and a parking deck as well as the complete reorganisation of the sports areas, the access areas and the areas between the adjacent schools. The triple sports hall and the parking deck are integrated into the existing slope edge and covered with an all-weather pitch and above-ground parking spaces. Immediately adjacent, the school sports areas were renovated and the former hospital park, which was occupied by school containers, was redesigned as a break area. Front areas of the schools and Haidmühlstraße merge into a shared space campus.

The project was tackled immediately after the competition decision and completed at the end of 2014 after only 4 years of planning and construction time for the entire facility.
Economics and sustainability were the decisive criteria in all performance phases.
Due to changing deadlines of the simultaneously rebuilt schools, flexibility of planning and execution was required on the one hand, on the other hand, the big line of the design idea could not be neglected.
The sports facility includes a large grass playing field with automatic irrigation, all-weather pitch, running track, long jump, beach volleyball and a ball catch fence made of wire mesh.
