On the southern outskirts of Urmitz ("Örms") on the Rhine, a cross-generational play, exercise and recreation area "Örmser Ring" has been created on an abandoned pumice quarry site. The site is divided into the areas of near-natural play space and intergenerational experience space. These areas were realized under consideration of the different requirements and equipment elements in 2016 and funded by the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture, Food, Viticulture and Forestry.
The production of the cross-generational meeting place was partly through the participation of Urmitzer children, youths and their parents.

After clearing 2015 (clearing and mulching work), the area with new path connections to the residential areas as a children's, youth, family and senior meeting place was developed and then enthusiastically seized by the citizens.
